This Privacy Policy describes how BeyondTechnolabs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit our website at https://beyondtechnolabs.com, use our Shopify applications, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API License requirements.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you contact us or use our Services, we may collect:

  • Shop domain and Shopify store information
  • Messages and communications you send us
  • Data deletion request information

1.2 Information Collected Through Shopify Apps

When you install and use a BeyondTechnolabs Shopify app, we may access and process the following data through Shopify's APIs, limited to what is necessary to provide the app's functionality:

  • Shop information: Store name, domain, email, plan type, currency, and timezone
  • Product data: Product titles, descriptions, variants, inventory levels, and images (for inventory and content apps)
  • Order data: Order numbers, line items, fulfillment status, and customer shipping information (for order sync apps)
  • Customer data: Customer names and email addresses (only when required for app functionality and with appropriate consent)
  • App usage data: Feature usage, settings, and configuration preferences

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Device information and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring website addresses
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

We do not share merchant data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Any subprocessors used to process Shopify merchant data are vetted for security and compliance.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Active app installations: Data is retained while your app is installed and active
  • After uninstallation: All shop data is deleted within 48 hours of app uninstallation, except where longer retention is required by law
  • Website analytics: Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months
  • Support communications: Retained for up to 3 years for quality and legal purposes

6. Shopify Mandatory Webhooks and Data Subject Rights

In compliance with Shopify's requirements, our apps implement the following mandatory GDPR webhooks:

  • customers/data_request: We provide stored customer data upon verified request within 30 days
  • customers/redact: We delete customer data within 30 days of receiving a redaction request
  • shop/redact: We delete all shop data within 48 hours of app uninstallation

You also have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest

  • Secure storage of Shopify access tokens with encryption
  • Employee training on data protection practices

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including India and the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
